Ironworkers Local 5 was chartered in 1901 and currently represents more than 1,800 Ironworkers in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Its members have contributed to the construction of many important projects in its jurisdictional region, including the Capital Building, FedEx Field, M&T Bank Stadium, Nationals Park, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Capital One Arena, and UMMS PG County Hospital.
