Carpenters Local 405 is a labor union that represents carpenters and other construction workers in Santa Clara County and San Benito County in California. The union is affiliated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC), the Northern California Carpenters Regional Council (NCCRC), and the Santa Clara & San Benito Counties Building Trades Council.
The union has more than 4,100 members who work on various projects in the area known as Silicon Valley, home of many high-tech companies and universities.
Through the Carpenters Training Committee for Northern California (CTCNC), Local 405 offers members a wide variety of classes and seminars, including a state-approved Apprenticeship Program and journey-level upgrade courses. As union members, all workers have access to benefits such as paid vacation, health and welfare programs, annuity plans, sick leave, and a pension plan.
