Founded in February 1912, Carpenters Local 1889 stands for over 2000 skilled carpenters who serve DuPage County and North of Butterfield Rd. in Kane County, Illinois. It is a part of the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
The union represents carpenters in a variety of fields, including but not limited to General Carpenter, Residential Carpenter, Interior Systems Carpenter, and Concrete Forming.
